Organic Beeswax in blocks

Organic Beeswax in blocks

Organic beeswax produced in Piedmont, Italy directly by our bees. Each bar weighs approximately 25g. Pack of 9 bars (approximately 225g) or 21 bars (approximately 525g).
Suitable for making candles, soaps, creams, lip balms, cosmetics, oilcloth, and wood wax. Pure beeswax may develop a white film called "bloom" on the surface, which is easily removed with a soft cloth.
Bees produce wax through special glands in their abdomen in the form of tiny flakes.
A flake of wax weighs about 0.8 mg, and it takes more than a million of them to produce just one kilogram of wax.
Due to its waterproofing, nourishing, and antibacterial properties, beeswax has been used since ancient times as a base for various leather and wood care preparations.
Tips for creating with beeswax:
BODY PREPARATIONS
These preparations are easily made with just a few ingredients such as a saucepan, vegetable oils, honey if needed and little else:
The oldest is the “COLD CREAM”, emollient and refreshing, whose recipe originates from the London Pharmacopoeia of 1618; then we have LIP BALM and HAND CREAM.
With beeswax and a few drops of lavender essential oil you can prepare an excellent DEPILATORY WAX.
SOAPS
There are two ways to make beeswax soap: with caustic soda (a somewhat delicate process) or with soap bases, which are very easy to use even with your children.
FURNITURE WAX
You can make an excellent furniture wax with just three ingredients: beeswax, carnauba wax, and turpentine. Melt everything in a double boiler. Be careful when handling the turpentine.
FOOD FILM
All you need is a piece of fabric, some beeswax flakes, and a kitchen oven. It's very easy.
CANDLES
Beeswax candles burn very slowly with little smoke and a delicate scent reminiscent of honey.
To make them, simply choose the mold, melt the wax in a bain-marie, attach the wick and pour into the container.
The wax melts from 63°C.
