Organic High Mountain Wildflower Honey from Val Thures

Organic High Mountain Wildflower Honey from Val Thures

Harvested in midsummer in the extraordinarily beautiful alpine meadows of the Thures Valley, near Cesana Torinese, at an altitude of 1,700m, this honey comes from the nectar of rhododendrons, alpine shrubs, raspberries, sainfoin, clover and countless other species found in mountain meadows and pastures.
With a slightly amber color, an aromatic scent and a soft, sweet flavor.

This honey is part of the Slow Food Presidium of High Alpine Mountain Honeys.

The Presidia are Slow Food projects that protect small, quality products that deserve preservation, produced according to traditional practices.

PAIRING

Excellent in herbal teas and spread on bread.

When the flowers begin to bloom, the hives are placed in the middle of the alpine meadows; the honey is harvested shortly before the end of flowering to obtain an exceptionally pure monofloral honey.

We bring the honey to the right moisture level before extraction, ensuring the integrity and long-term preservation of the product. Honey extraction is performed by cold centrifugation to preserve its nutritional value and organoleptic characteristics.

We filter the honey through fabric filters to remove any residual wax or other impurities. We store the honey in stainless steel containers and bottle it by hand.
